The NCOA Fraud Prevention Product provides a detailed insight into an individual’s address information to close any loop on potential fraudsters.  It not only includes current redirection information but also maintains historical data and is updated daily via SFTP.  Royal Mail has developed a method that protects the consumer without compromising their privacy rights.  This area of fraud costs the UK over £2.7bn per year and this product will aid in reducing these costs for businesses and the consumer.

Ctrack for its ICE personal tracking and mobile panic alarm tool

Ctrack Corporation has developed a suite of products that combines hardware, software and service that enables employers to better protect, manage and communicate with their mobile employees in the field.   By combining a successful history of tracking of vehicles and resource management, Ctrac Ice enables both employer and employee real time communication that can provide emergency support, two-way communication, visibility via GPS location of current and past location for the employees.

Judging Criteria

Mail security is of paramount importance. Drug smuggling is a global problem. Fraud arising from internet commerce is increasing exponentially. Aviation safety must be protected. Operator internal controls must be robust. Criminals will always try to be one step ahead of security measures. This award is aimed at the mail operator, security organisation or supplier who, in the view of the panel, has done the most in the past year to assist detection and/or prevention of crime or fraud in the postal process.
