Innovation

InPost

The panel were once again really impressed by the number and variety of submissions for the innovation award, demonstrating that there is no shortage of good, interesting and relevant innovative ideas ready to be implemented and in some cases already proven and working in the market.

Each of the short-listed entries had good examples of new and different ideas that they were bringing to the market – sometimes combining existing ideas or creating new opportunities with new platforms, partners or technology.  The winner of this award is doing all of these, building on an organisation culture that is consistently innovating, entirely customer driven and reaching out in new ways to new markets and demographics.  They are breaking ground by using their capability and competency to meet customer needs in new and surprising ways – and their innovative approach that they are forging is replicable elsewhere.  It seems like innovation is in the DNA of their organisation – it is certainly in their name!

The winner where In stands for Innovation is Inpost.

Highly Commended

Post Danmark for “Campaign Card – Making the customer an ambassador for the company!

Sweden Post for its “Reklamfixaren” online direct mail agency

Demonstrating that traditional postal services can be integrated with latest digital media, this new online service, developed in partnership with Google, enables a company to develop integrated marketing campaigns using both direct mail and Adwords on one site.  Companies use the web tool to create their whole direct marketing campaign and then link to Adwords.

Pos Malaysia Berhad for its “PostMe.com.my” online mall

Developed by Pos Malaysia Berhad, PostMe.com.my is an online retail mall that aggregates all Malaysian online shoppers and merchants under one URL. It completely overhauled the way the post operates because Malaysians want to go online and shop. As a trusted brand it ensures ‘other party’ integrity, payment security and delivery capability.

Judging Criteria

This category is for new initiatives that deliver tangible added value to mail users. It could, for example, deliver new or improved services or make existing services easier to use or access. Innovations leading to cost reduction can also be included, if it can be demonstrated that the benefits are shared with mail users. The judging panel will seek to understand the degree of innovation in terms of breadth (i.e. quantity of customers), depth (i.e. magnitude/impact), its transferability and the likelihood that measurable long-term benefits will be realised.
